Ohio’s STABLE Account offers savings

Stable savings account for people with disabilities

The STABLE Account is a new investment account for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The STABLE Account allows people with disabilities to save and invest money while retaining eligibility for programs like Medicaid, SSI or SSDI. Also, STABLE Account earnings are not subject to federal income tax as long as it is spent on qualified disability expenses.

To explain the STABLE Account, who it’s for and how it works, Hattie Larlham and the Summit County Board of Developmental Disabilities, with the Ohio Treasurer’s Office, will host an informational presentation. Representatives will be available to help families sign up for the STABLE Account. The event includes a question and answer period. To attend the STABLE Account event, sign up below.
